Darters keep ‘Jumperz’ legacy alive

Darters have some fun before the official darting season.

JUMPERZ Darts Club hosted a successful fund-raising darts competition at the Taj Hotel last Thursday with the official darting season to start soon.

Atish ‘Jumpers’ Sewraj (16) was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Marine Drive, Shelly Beach in November 2012.

Atish, affectionately known as ‘Jumperz’, was a grade 12 pupil at Marburg Secondary. He died in hospital after the driver of the car in which he was a passenger lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree.

The darts club was established after his death.

The results are as follows for the Jumperz Darts club. Winning the singles was Victor Reddy and runner-up Jewan Bowla. The doubles winners were Judah Chetty and Jewan Bowla and runners-up were Rakesh Ramdhun and Kumesh Bilala.

Rakesh Ramdhun scored two 180s while Jewan Bowla and Avinal Kamtharam scored a 180 each. Jumperz Darts Club would like to thank all those that supported and made the competition a huge success.
