‘Xtreme’ times for riders at Lake Eland
Charging his way to the front of the field, Scott Bouverie pulled clear to claim the win.
NO cops, no speed limits and challenging terrain, the South Coast Xtreme Enduro and Funduro at Lake Eland Game Reserve last Saturday was an incredible amount of fun. Following his impressive winning streak, Scott Bouverie of Harding confirmed his position with a well-deserved victory.

Featuring a unique race format, the event saw the cream of the crop from the Enduro world compete against each other. Lake Eland provided a great opportunity for Enduro riders to try themselves in properly extreme conditions and bikers began the event with only victory on their minds.
More than 200 competitors from all over South Africa, including some top international riders, entered. The spectator value of this race was undeniable and visitors came along in their numbers to cheer on the riders.
Scott put the hammer down as soon as conditions became properly extreme.
He said that every victory is special, but for this one he had to push a little bit harder. “If I wanted to make it anywhere near the top I had to push hard in the event and that’s exactly what I did,” he said.
Securing second place, William Slater also showed good speed in the Enduro to wrap up the day behind Scott. “Finishing second was an absolute surprise for me,” confirmed William. “It was more like a survival story. I tried to keep it on two wheels and make it to the finish in one piece.”
Chayse Orsmond of Oslo Beach came in third. Race director, Klint Mills, thanked everyone for their unwavering help to make this a South Coast must-do event for many years to come.
