THE rained-out Banners Rest mixed pairs 2-4-2 has been postponed with a new date to be advised.
Next sponsored competitions are the GP Security mixed pairs this Friday (3rd) and the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs this Sunday (5th).
All 2017 club championship draws are now on the notice board.

JAN Venter, Callie Quinn and Frances Raymond were the winners of the drawn mixed trips played last Friday.
Second place went to Paul Grutter, Roger Burwood and Judy Hoyer. Session prize was awarded to Marie Coetzer, Chris Snyman and Estelle Quinn. Thanks to Bourman Group for the generous sponsorship.

There were great celebrations last Saturday when the club’s two men’s league teams won their respective leagues.

IT is with the deepest regret that we record the recent passing of Denis Morcom, a wonderful man and great club member. Condolences go to Enid and family.
Winners of the Green Chilli Restaurant competition were Derek McKechnie, Sharon Scheinberg and Henry Jacobs.

SUPERSPAR Port Edward mixed trips was won by Elbé and George Snyman, with Jeanie West.
Runners-up were Janet Venter, Leoni Booth and Maureen van der Poel. Session went to Gino Alilovic, Myra Doubell and Derek Wicks; board winner was Joe Ashworth.
Saverite mixed pairs winners were Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren, from Peter and Sariena Ziervogel. Session went to Barry Payn and Phillipa Rowney, board to Sariena Ziervogel.
Flying Rinks top winner was Alice Lumley, followed by Barry Payn and Frank Foley. Scroungers Cup winner was Jens Andersen, from Roger Humphrey.
Plate A winner was Don Saunders, with runner-up George Snyman. Plate B winner was Francien van der Merwe, from Ray Martin.

SOUTHBROOM
BOTH the Tiago’s men’s trips and the Wolf Security open trips were cancelled due to bad weather but Friday 24th saw the Fazenda 2-4-2 go ahead.
Winners were Tom McHenry, Norma Ronald and Ferro van Greunen.
St. Patrick’s Day bring and braai will be held on Sunday, March 19 at 9am. Format is snakes and ladders. Wear something green, white or orange or any variation thereof.
Good luck to Chris Faber and Elliot Nqoko who will compete in the inter-districts from March 13 to 17.
SOUTHPORT
WHILE the rain caused havoc with the fixture list it was a blessing for the greens which are looking very attractive for this time of the year.
The Southport Service Station mixed trips played last Sunday was won by Rynier van Tonder and Don and Shirley Rossouw, from Keith Mills, Sharon Bischoff and Jenny Floquet.
Derek Cilliers, Trevor Main and Jenny de Bruin were placed third. Next competition is the South Coast Herald Mixed 2-4-2 on March 9.

THE BELL
TICKEY and Denise Nel, with Dawie Schlebusch, won the Orca restaurant sponsored mixed trips last week.
In second place were Louw and Charmaine Vermeulen, with Denis Schmidt. Session prize went to Sandy and Stan Penny with Phil Viljoen.
Next sponsored games are Captain’s Anchor mixed fours this Friday (3rd) and Jaxx, Venture Inn Bottle Store, Sayidi’s open trips next Tuesday (7th).

TWENI
THE mixed fours game that was to be played last Tuesday was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The next event is the South Coast Herald men’s pairs on Friday, March 10 in the morning.
A reminder that, as from this week Wednesday (1st), tabs in reverts to 1.45pm to start at 2pm.
KBA will be using the green this Saturday (4th), therefore the braai and cricket against Southport will be this Sunday (5th) starting at 10am.
VILLAGE
NEXT competitions are Hibiscus Retirement Village men’s trips next Tuesday (7th) and Hibiscus Brokers mixed trips next Thursday (9th).
The in-house Food Lover’s Market drawn mixed trips will be played this Saturday (4th) at 1.15pm.
The RAC draw and bring and braai will be held this Friday (3rd), as well as a cooked meal. Please put names on the list now for catering purposes.
