Golfer Friedl is top Baker at Margate
The individual Stableford event attracted a good field.
CONGRATULATIONS to Friedl Kotzbauer on winning the Baker trophy on Tuesday with 38 points.
The individual Stableford event attracted a good field and saw Sandi Johnston second on 37 points followed by Lynn Meek (36 points) and Hannetjie Pretorius on 35 points.
The Wobblers threeball alliance on Wednesday was won by Richard Plaskitt, Koos Roody and Jan Richter on 92 points.
Alan Davies, Hanz Dallinger and Doug Douglas were second on 83 points on a count out from Eddie Gommersall, Lonie Gouws and Otto Mutschler.
The Arthur Tomlinson Floater was won by Dolf Willemse, Fred Boshoff and Alan Robinson on 68 points on a count out.
Now at week number nine, Thursday’s popular Carreira/Curlewis Cup individual Stableford competition was won by Brian Jolliffe on 44 points.

Derek Egerton was second on 41 points followed by John Webster, oco 39 points.
Nearest the pin at the 4th, sponsored by Margate Pro Shop was won by Patrick Mavundla and Ulrich Gous at the 16th, sponsored by Hibiscus Retirement Villages.
South Coast Warriors’ Golf Day on Saturday, a Stableford alliance competition with one score to count on the par threes and par fours and two to count on the par fives was won by JP Pretorius, John Rudling, Stan Wearne and Johan Erasmus on 70 points.
Second place went to C Cilliers, J Cilliers, Tony Grobler, X de Wald, on 67 points on a count out from Sandi Johnston, Shannon Gottlieb, Alecia Hilt, Lexley Lewis and Flip Fourie, Koos Jacobs, Louw van Niekerk with Fanie Terblanche.
