Bikes and cars take to the track in a blaze of speed at Dezzi Raceway
Petrol heads had reason to rejoice once again.
SOUTH Africa’s fastest bikes and cars had the opportunity to converge at the Dezzi South Coast Raceway for another KZN Road Racing Club’s spectacular race event.
The race has become a spectacle and a huge attraction on the South African motorsport calendar.
Desmond Gutzeit, owner of the Dezzi South Coast Raceway said that the KZN Road Racing Club selects the top cars and drivers in the country, to battle it out on the track at a professional and safe racing event.
“The event proceeded very well. The challenge of road racing at excessive speeds was enough to give any competitor an adrenaline rush. Spectators also felt the rush as drivers put foot to the pedal,” explained Mr Gutzeit.

“We were very pleased with the turnout, as cars and bikes from across the country competed,” he added.
“Engine management and choice was of paramount importance and clever teamwork, the right combination of strategy and tactics, together with excellent driver and car performances were needed to win,” he explained.
As drivers fine-tuned their souped-up cars in order to cement their positions in the championships, the up and down Dezzi rollercoaster circuit’s layout provided many challenging corners and, moreover, the driving techniques and skills of the drivers were pushed to the limit.
