South Coast VW team kitted out and ready to play

The team has gained a wonderful following in the area, and has given the Gcilima locals something to shout for.

SOUTH Coast VW United received its new kit last Thursday, kindly sponsored by the South Coast VW dealership in Margate, as well as the Kingfisher Total Service Station.

The football team is from Nkampini’s Ward 7 in Gcilima, inland of Southbroom.

It is currently lying fourth in the Hibiscus Football Association’s premier league, which is pretty good for a team fairly new on the scene.

VW and Total sponsored new kit, boots and petrol.

“We hope the new boots result in more goals,” said Johan Kinsey-Ahlers, co-owner and manager of South Coast Volkswagen and Audi. “The players certainly appear eager.”

“This makes a huge difference to our boys and we are extremely grateful,” said team manager and coach Morgan Ngcungama.

His two head coaches, Sipho Mzobe and Mondli Chiliza, agreed with him, saying that having the support of a company like South Coast VW motivated the players to take their game to new heights.

“The dealership was pleased to renew the sponsorship and to play a role in the upliftment not only of football in the area, but also the community as a whole,” said Johan.
