Sharks Academy holds open day for young rugby players at Southcity Christian School
The event was held free of charge.
THE Sharks Academy SKZN invited all matric or U20 rugby players, wishing to experience what it is like to be in the academy, to an open day at Southcity Christian School last Sunday.

The open day gave all players the opportunity to have fun and test their ability both on and off the rugby field. All players were welcome to register for the intake of players in the academy for 2018.
The event incorporated a packed full day, free of charge, where players trained on the rugby field, working on core rugby skills. Players also engaged in a fitness programme.
Dougie Haralambous (president of Southern KZN Rugby) said that investing in the youth and giving them the tools to reach their potential and develop into world-class athletes is what The Sharks Academy do on an ongoing basis.
“By providing top class coaching and training methods, every player is given the chance to one day feature for the Sharks, and even perhaps get to represent their country,” he said.
