Date change for ‘Hope Commission’ fun run at Tendele Trail

It's going to be fun for the whole family.

A FUN run and walk to raise funds for South Coast Hospice will take place on Sunday, July 2 and not June 25 as previously advertised.

It will take place along the Tendele Trail Run and be organised by the Hope Commission which includes the Ugu Athletics Club, Hope Park Committee, Mbango River Conservancy, 4 Nationa Car Group and Lazer 911 Security.

The 12km trail run is well established and has technical and challenging areas. It will start at the Illovo sugar mill grounds, which will signposted.

There will be a 3km walk run which will be free; 5km walk, run, cycle at an entry fee of R10 per person; and a 12km run cycle at an entry fee of R20 per person.

It’s going to be fun for the whole family. Lucky draw prizes will be handed out.

Ugu Athletics Club is helping organise the event. Seen at a recent UAC run Marburg residents (from left) Reshma Govender, Anita Jumna and Keara Govender.

Registration will be from 6am to 6.45am with a 7am start.

Police, security with ample parking and signage. No traffic on the routes, Seconding tables will be provided. Lazer 911 security will be present.

St Martins De Porres pupils will be taking part on the day. There will be a hamper raffle on the day to be drawn at the event. R10 a ticket.
