Players experienced a packed day of high intensity volleyball.

THE highlight of this past weekend was the two-a-side volleyball compo at Tweni beach last Saturday.

The battle for first place took place between Shalin Harriparsad and Yogesh Ramsuruth and Shane Ghirdari and Jonard du Plessis.

After one of the longest and most intense matches ever seen on a beach, Shane Ghirdari and Jonard du Plessis emerged victorious.

Shane Ghirdari told the Herald that everyone played a fantastic game.

Yastil Ramsook has a steady hand.

“From the beginning until the end we controlled game and we were able to beat our opponents,” he said.

“Shalin Harriparsad and Yogesh Ramsuruth are known for playing the best matches, but we are extremely happy that we dominated and won. A key to victory was everything, our motivation, energy and will to win.”
