Surf, music and a run at Tweni beach
Entrance for spectators is free, so come along and watch all the action from the beach.
MANY of the best surfers in KwaZulu-Natal will compete in the ‘Tweni Twos’ pairs surf competition this Saturday, June 10, between 7am and 3.30pm.
Everyone is encouraged to come along and support this event as the money raised will help with the cost of accommodation and transport when local surfers travel to the national trials to be held in East London in September.

The Ugu senior team fund-raiser invites two surfers to enter as a team in this open event. The first 16 pairs (32 surfers) to enter will be guaranteed their spot.
The team will battle in the water against another team in a 20 minute heat and winners will surf away with the prize money of R10 000 which includes: R5 000 each and a floating trophy.
Cost per surfer is R250 which includes the Saturday evening prize-giving dinner and an open live music function at 6.30pm. Local band ‘Four 5 Seconds’ and Ian Jones will provide the evening’s entertainment. Non-contestant entry for the Saturday evening is R100.

Surfboard designer, Ryan Marco, has kindly donated a surfboard to be raffled. Tickets for the raffle are R50 each.
Good accommodation is available at R150 per night. Booking is essential.
There will be a 4km beach run starting from the lifesaving clubhouse at 10am. Everyone is invited. The open prize is R1 000, with R200 for the first junior in and R500 for the first woman.
