Tabs-in draws quite a crowd at Scottburgh BC
The morning is a fund-raiser for autism.
THE monthly Men’s and Women’s 2-4-2 took place on Wednesday, June 7. In the women’s games the second session winners, on 2+11, were Penny Ridgeway and Clare Helfrich of Sezela and they won vouchers from Link Pharmacy.
The runners-up, on 4+7, were Saowanee and Gill Whitehouse of Scottburgh who won hairdos from Hair Waves. The winners, on 4+9, were Carol Cameron and Liz Payne of AMBC and they won vouchers for the Beauty Salon of Sugar Post.

The men’s prizes went to Des Le Roux and Derek Walsh of Scottburgh (second session winners on 2+19) and they won vouchers from Link Pharmacy.
The runners-up on 4+18 were Mike Mordant and Tony Simpson from AMBC and they took home Nino’s vouchers. The winners on 4+19 were Ogies Steyn and Fred Hutchins of AMBC and they won Beach Car Wash vouchers.

It was a great surprise when 32 players arrived for tabs-in on Saturday. There were visitors, members who seldom come to tabs-in, new bowlers who came on a Saturday for the first time and the regulars.
The mini competition was won by Cecil Smith, Felicity Burwood and Dylan Conradie on +17. Thank you to Steam Spa Café for the vouchers.
Please come along and support a worthy charity at social bowls, which will be held on Sunday, June 25, 8.30am for 9am. It is open to bowlers and non-bowlers. The morning is a fund-raiser for autism.
The entry fee is R20 and we would like to fill all three greens – 96 players. There will also be boerewors rolls on sale afterwards. There is a list up at the club or phone Peter at 082-5588412.
Wednesday morning at Scottburgh Bowling Club is dedicated to new bowlers. Just arrive at 8.30am; we will lend you bowls and give you the necessary basics before you start.
Wear flat shoes and bring a hat. Alternatively, if you work, you will be most welcome on a Sunday morning also at 8.30am. For more information, phone Lyn at 082-8787170.
