THE women’s and men’s trips were played at Sezela last Monday afternoon in mild autumn weather. Firstly a big thank you to our sponsors Food Lover’s Market, Atlanta Spur and Karin’s Beauty Salon for supporting the women.

Winners were Liesje de Rosner, Annatjie Kid and Barbara Lombaard from AMBC, scoring 4+22. Runners-up were Jean Cliff, Lyn Seymour and Barbara Fountain from Scottburgh on 4+17.

Second session winners were Jean Shannon, Sheila Beverly and Rika Havenga from Sezela on 2+8.

In the men’s section – which was sponsored by Halfway Toyota, John Dory’s and Basset Brewery – the winners were Len Brickhill, Brian Kidd and Ogies Steyn on 4+15.

Runners-up on 3+20 were Tom Crawford, Rod Forte and Derek Stevens. Session winners on 2+13 were Dave Gibson, Roy Jack and Roger Lane.

The teatime goodies were kindly donated and prepared by Charles Douglas, Gay Symonds, Dave Billet, Lyn Clifton and Liz Dredge. Thank you so much.

Well done to all our KBA pairs who played over the weekend, no one actually made it through to the play-offs, although a couple of pairings won two of their round robin games.

I certainly hope you enjoyed the experience of getting away from Sezela and trying out on different greens.

Please don’t forget that the draw for all the club singles is on the notice board and a lot of games are to be played on Saturday, June 17.
