KINGFISHER BA

WELL done to all those who took part in the first ‘in-house’ Pro 10, which was won by Sharolyn Dacey and Steve O’Moore from The Bell.

Runners-up were Umtentweni’s Peter Clark and Tony Aveyard and in joint third were AMBC’s Mike Mordant and Tony Korb and The Bell’s Rynier van Tonder and Nick van Niekerk.

Good luck to all the senior and open singles competitors playing this weekend.

The play-offs will be held at Margate BC on Sunday with the semi-finals and finals on Monday. Entries for green keepers’ competition close on July 17.

BANNERS REST

THE SuperSpar Port Edward Tri-Club, which also involved Port Edward and Munster, was a great success resulting in a win for team Pam Cole-Cook, Aubrey Hood and Lizette Greeff.

Placed second were Don Saunders and Hazel Delaney, and third Peter Bennett and Vi Pells.

Three session prizes were also awarded, and the half lamb raffle was won by Ally Weir.

Winners of the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs were Brian Camps and Ally Weir, from Dave Hume and Leigh Warner, and Rod Phelps and Ron Camps.

Winning the Kingfisher Bowling Association’s Pro 10 tournament are Steve O’Moore and Sharolyn Dacey.

The 50/50 board went to Rob Lyle. SuperSpar Port Edward 2-bowl mixed trips on July 12.

HIBBERDENE

JAN Oosthuizen, Brian Pirie and Joey Venter won the Hibberdene Pharmacy drawn trips last Friday from Miriam Seager, Louise Snyman and Judy Hoyer.

Session to Arthur Seager, Lionel France and Lorraine van Heerden.

Next Friday afternoon is the Tiago’s Open Flame drawn competition. Deepest sympathy to Silvia Brewer on the death of Errol.

MARGATE BC

SOCIAL bowls is played every Sunday morning from 9am. Coaching clinics are held every Wednesday at 1.30pm.

Next Halfway Toyota sponsored men’s 2-4-2 competition will be played this Friday (7th) morning.

Winners of the Food Lover’s Market vouchers were Lance Marshall, Henry Jacobs and Margaret Duffield.

MARGATE CC

WINNERS of the Hopdens Manaba Kwikspar trips were Dora Vosloo, Georgie McKechnie and Sandy Ferguson.

Runners-up were Graham and Anjie Gold and Cindy Cano. Session winners were Mike Prinsloo, Hans van der Walt and Peter McCarthy.

Hair Shoppe women’s fours this Friday (7th). Next open trips is on July 25.

MUNSTER

KRAFTY Chameleon mixed trips were won by Piet Heunis, Rina Fourie and Cliff Moakes.

Runners-up were Mike Gower, Myra Doubell and Derek Wicks. Second session went to Anthony Card, Lesley Lawson and Denise de Witt. Board to Denise.

30 club draw: 1 Margaret Moakes, 2 Grace Harding, 3 Lynn Meek and 4 Cliff Moakes. Nomads visiting this Sunday (9th) at 8.30am.

NOMADS

NEXT meeting is at Munster this Sunday (9th) from 8.30am.

All members are welcome to join us on the day. There will be a bring and braai after the game.

Follow the main road and take the Munster turn-off, follow the signs to the Munster Sports Club.

PORT EDWARD

THERE will be no tabs this Saturday (8th) as Port Edward is hosting the KBA men’s open singles.

The green will be open on Friday afternoon and there will be sundowners as usual from 4pm.

INA Malan, Ralph Burls and Carl Volker won the Wolf Security open trips last week, from Dereck Schorn, Manny Piquito and Ann Waugh.

Sessions to Brent Addison, Sean Larkins and Elliot Nqoko, as well as Norma Louw, Olwen Gibbs and Chrissie Chancellor.

Next up is Mariners open fours today (6th). Normal tabs-in Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1.30pm for 2pm and Fridays at 2.30pm for 30pm.

SOUTHPORT

THE South Coast Herald sponsored mixed pairs 2-4-2 was won by Peet and Susan van Rooyen from Tammy Gibbons and Alan Wallace.

Second session went to Tom Semple and Judy Hové.

The AGM will take place after a shortened ‘tabs in’ on Saturday, July 15. Please bring a plate of eats.

Tweni are hosting a return cricket match on Sunday, July 16 at 10am. They have promised us neutral umpires this time.

THE BELL

SHAROLYN Dacey and Steve O’ Moore won the KBA Pro 10, while Renier van Tonder and Nico van Niekerk came third.

An enjoyable Warwick Day took place last Wednesday with Tina Barbour, Danny McCarthy and Desiree Krause being the winners, followed by Renzo van Niekerk, Pat Maggs and Kevin Mullen.

Winners of the Orca Restaurant sponsored mixed trips were Louw Vermeulen, Charmaine Vermeulen and Michelle Vermeulen.

In second place were Barbara Fernihough, Danny McCarthy and Annette Scott. The session prize went to Adele Reader, Val Boshoff and Peter Browning.

The Captain’s Anchor sponsored competition will take place this Friday (7th).

TWENI

PETER Clark and Tony Aveyard reached the final of the KBA Pro 10.

Winners of the Harbour View SuperSpar mixed pairs were Dennis Graham and Nellie Davies, from Derick Celliers and Molly Williams. Session to Geoff and Tina Barbour.

Sessions went to Hermann and Sharon Scheinberg and to Trevor and Yvonne Anderson. Pauline Dunlop won the 50/50.

Next competitions are Hibiscus Brokers’ mixed trips on July 13 and Martin Electronics men’s 2-4-2 on July 20.

Food Lover’s Market drawn mixed trips was won by Alan Tyers, Keith Roach and Shirley Barlow followed by Bill Parfitt and Marie Momple (pairs only) and Orrill Day and Dawn Ingle (also pairs).
