Play golf to help local pool players
It's been a bumper year for the South Coast region in terms of hosting big events.
KWAZULU-NATAL 8 Ball Pool is looking forward to hosting the Junior and Open National Championships at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre from October 1 to 14.
It’s a hugely prestigious event as players will be selected from this tournament to represent Pool South Africa at the forthcoming World 8 Ball Pool Championships in Blackpool, England.

There’ll be a golf day to raise funds for the players at the Wild Coast Sun Country Club on Sunday, September 3.
There’ll also be an opportunity for companies to advertise their branding at the championship on pool tables. Only 60 tables will be available for logos.
The juniors (U18 and U23) will play from October 1 to 6, with the open from October 6 to 13.
Three championships have already been held at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre this year, namely the women’s, wheelchair and seniors/masters champs.
These have had the support and sponsorship of Ugu District Municipality and Ugu South Coast Tourism.
“We are extremely proud to be involved and host this event. We’re looking forward to giving the players a warm, South Coast welcome,” said Keegan Reddy, president of the KZN 8 Ball Pool Federation.
