Murray and Co clinch business day win at Sheppie CC

WITH spring not far off, there are signs that the course has noticed and is responding in turn.
The greens are very good and fast, and the entire coast could do with more rain to bring some colour to the fairways.
The business day last Friday was won on 97 points by the FUPS team, namely Murray Ross, Geoff Hudson, Dave Mee and Phil Myburgh.

Runners-up on 95 points were Roy Matkovich, Gordon Dickson, Doug Shepherd and Brett Pollington, followed by Rob Calder, Graham Dickson, Ewald Ziervogel and Juliana Ziervogel.
Last Wednesday’s Women’s Day Charity Golf Day was won on 47 points by Sheldon Jooste and Barry Sweetlove.
One adrift were Charles and Jenny Hulley on 46 points. Nick Wattrus and Paul Geoffery were third some way behind.
Saturday’s betterball was won on 48 points by Ricky Naidoo and Jackie van Heerden, counting out Ernst Meier and Terry Kotze.
Third spot went to Gavin van Wyk and Christo van Vuuren on 47 points.
The Izotsha Primary golf day is taking place this Saturday (19th) with a full field expected.
