Mexican theme inspires golfers at Izotsha Primary day

Golfers, friends and family all dressed the part.

THERE was a fantastic buzz at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday for the playing of the Izotsha Primary golf day.

This was because of the wonderful support from the golfers – there were 105 players in the field – sponsors, and generally the people coming out to enjoy the day.

In addition, the Mexican theme added some flair and fun, with golfers dressing the part.

Yzelle Greyling and Kim Strauss won the women’s section, while the men’s winners were Mot Moleele and Gerhard Labuschagne on 49 points.

Runners-up were Gerald Koch and Koos Fouche on 47 points, counting out Sanjay Singh and Alan Ranjith.

Ettienne Kruger of sponsor Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach and Lee Barker of Jaxx Restaurant were on hand to congratulate the winners and dish out the prizes.

The third main sponsor was Comfort Cool Airconditioning.

The previous Wednesday’s winners were Dick Wheelright and Chris Boyce on 47 points counting out Stewart Betts and Bevis Fairbrother.

In third place were Gerald Koch and Jenny Hulley on 46 points.
