Road racing champs comes to Dezzi’s this Saturday (3rd)
Racing gets under way at 10am and entry is R80 for adults, R50 for teenagers and children under 12 are allowed in free.
More than 160 cars and motorcycles will make their way down to Dezzi Raceway for the second round of the KZN Road Racing Club Championships taking place at the circuit on Saturday, March 3 – and this includes a number of competitors from Johannesburg.
Following the thrills and spills at the opening round of the series a month ago, much midnight oil has been burnt to repair both cars and motorcycles for the second event of the season on March 3.
Duncan dos Reis, who spectacularly crashed his Porsche after a coming together with the Porsche of Willie de Beer, has completely rebuilt the super quick car and plans to be back on Saturday, competing in the Porsche Challenge as well as the Super GT category.

An added bonus for racegoers this event will see the return of the Retro class that features the likes of Meredith Willis (Escort) and Grant Duckham along with a host of other beautifully restored and maintained racing saloons from yesteryear.
It is a full race card and includes all the motorcycle categories so it will back to battle for the likes of Roy Hallett and Alistair Caldwell in the 150 Masters class, Clinton Massey Hicks, Nicolai Conci and Stephen Puren in a Honda versus Yamaha versus Kawasaki duel in the 600 Class.
