BLUE Ocean Aquatics held its annual Splash Gala at Creston College recently with 130 swimmers from all over the province taking part.
The level of competition was competitive with full heats in most of the events.
Daniel Fisher broke the 11-year-old 50m breaststroke record in a time of 43.72.

Matthew Haigh broke the 11-year-old 50m butterfly record in a time of 39.32.
The school with the most entries was Kokstad Junior School and the club with the most entries, barring the hosting club, was Margate Swimming Club.
The gala was enjoyed by all that attended and the club members thanked the parents, swimmers and volunteers who assisted and made the day possible. The next gala will be in October, date to be confirmed.

7-year-old: girls – Leah Lepront; boys – James Fisher.
8-year-old: girls – Celine Miles; boys – Nabil Bejia.
9-year-old: girls – Leah Scott; boys – George Annandale.
10-year-old: girls – Chay du Plessis; boys – Shawn Pillay.
11-year-old: girls – Reese Gilson; boys – Daniel Fisher.
12-year-old: girls – Keely Miller; boys – Gregg Hilder.
13-year-old: girls – Danica Pretorius; boys – Curt Bahlmann.
