VARIOUS South Coast Striders’ members have had a busy time of it of late.

The race starts off with a 42,2km run followed by a 21,1km run and is then topped off with a 10km run.

Heinrich achieved outstanding results, as follows: 42,2km – 3:44; 21,1km – 2:08; 10km – 0:55.

On the home front, club captain Mark Smith led the team on a 50km training run from Shelly Beach to Southbroom to Port Shepstone and back.

It was an extremely tough route which is just what the runners needed with the upcoming Two Oceans and Comrades.

Some of the members ran a slightly less hectic 26km route in preparation for the Deloitte Challenge.

The club is also looking forward to hosting the Hibiscus Challenge on Tuesday, May 1.

Distances on offer are 48km, 21km and 10km. Enquiries to Kim at 084 5117651.
