Excellence awards stack up for Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach
The local dealership has continued to maintain a very high standard.
It’s awards season for Toyota South Africa and the local dealership, Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach has once again been in the mix.
In fact, as usual, they’ve been quite outstanding, with numerous awards coming their way.
A number of senior staff members, including dealer principal Brian Jones, attended the awards function at the ICC in Durban recently.
Brian Jones received a Pyramid of Excellence award for Toyota Financial Service – Large.
His son Stephen received a Pyramid of Excellence award for Vehicles Sales Manager – Large.
Ettienne Kruger received a Pyramid of Excellence award for Automark Sales Manager – Large.
Further, the Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach dealership received Pyramid of Excellence awards for parts, new cars, Automark and Toyota Financial Services.
In addition, when it came to the trucks, Gansen Chetty was pleased to receive the Hino Dealer of the Year award for Hino Shelly Beach.
The customer experience in each category, the judges said, including sales, service and parts were all above 98 percent for this year’s winners.
And, keeping things in the family, Chris Jones (Brian’s youngest son) was pleased to be part of the Lexus Fourways team, headed up by Kevin Crowie, which won Lexus Dealer of the Year.
He’s now the sales manager there and while he may not go out and buy a Lions rugby jersey, it looks like he’s going to settle in the city.

The judges said: “This achievement requires dedicated efforts and a balanced approach that is aligned to the new core philosophy of Lexus: Experience Amazing.”
Awarded annually, the Toyota Dealer Awards are based on a comprehensive set of metrics on which each dealer is measured throughout the preceding year.
These measurements include customer service, environmental protection, financial performance and vehicle sales.
“The group has done well as a whole,” said Brian, who was pleased with the results.
In the meantime, Brian, Ettienne and Stephen can look forward to a fantastic holiday trip sometime soon – this was their reward for their award.
