Plenty of action on volleyball courts
Several local teams entered the social tournament.
Despite bad weather predictions, the first social volleyball knockout tournament of 2018 went ahead. Volleyball players and fans came in their numbers to the Marburg Sports Complex last Saturday.
Hosted by the Port Shepstone Volleyball Association (PSVA), the games proved a success, with 18 teams entering. There were five in the junior division, nine in division one and four in the premier division.
The excitement and enthusiasm were noticeable among players as the long- and much-awaited season kicked off. The courts were jam-packed, as players and supporters enjoyed a day of thrilling action. The popular social section proved exhilarating, as some of the legends of yesteryear made a return to the sport.

In the premier division the runners-up were City Boyz and the winners, Falcons. In division one the runners-up were Slowjams and the winners, Rising Stars.
Rising Stars D were the runners-up in the junior division, while the winners were Rising Stars A.
