Amateurs get rolling at fun Margate BC bowls day

Amateur bowlers, under the guidance of the pros, enjoyed a fun bowlsday held at the Margate Bowling Club, organised by the Ramsgate Lions, last Sunday. Most players were new to the sport but found the game easy to pick up.

While the bowlers made the most of the outdoor activity with their families on the grass under brilliant sunshine, Ramsgate Lion Johann Bentley told the Herald that bowling is a great sport for both young and old to enjoy.

There was a festive atmosphere, as players from the various teams, with a lot of laughter, encouraged their teammates.
