Fabricius favourite for Sheppie club champs this weekend
It's a good time of year to get the putter going.
GRAHAM Fabricius seems to have found some top form at the right time with the Port Shepstone Country Club strokeplay champs due to be played this weekend.
He shot 68 last Saturday’s to win the monthly medal, sponsored by Auto Exec, on nett 69 and will start as heavy favourite to defend his title.
The Stableford section was won by Sheldon van der Merwe on 35 points, by two from Bobby Wagner.
A-division honours went to Paul Geoffery (nett 72), Daan Swanepoel (nett 73 nett) and Greg Hornby (nett 73).

In the B-division, Mike Webster won on nett 69, with Giovanni Lodetti back in the prizes on nett 70 after a recent shoulder injury. Ken Morris was third on nett 71.
Emmanuel Mseleku won the C division on nett 64, by five from Mark Smith who had nett 60. Brett Pollington was third on nett 75.
Monthly business day this Friday (13th).
Mug of Mugs winner was Ken Morris on nett 71.
The previous Wednesday’s combined bonus bogey was won on +7 by Johann van Niekerk and James Coull.
Runners-up were Phil Myburgh and Paul Bunge on +3.
