Rocky race for Kelly but Lia shines
The race was very well supported, with more than 200 people taking part.
A number of South Coast Striders took part in the Rocky Bay trail run, near Scottburgh, last Sunday.
They were joined by various members of their families, including lots of youngsters which was great to see.
Overall, it was a pretty good except for Kelly Rothman, who fell and badly sprained her ankle.

At first she thought it might be broken, but fortunately this is not the case.
On a brighter note, her 11 year-old daughter Lia was the third female to finish the 6km race, with two 16 year-olds the only ones to beat her.
That’s quite some going and she definitely appears to be fitter than her father Donovan, who despite having the best time of the Striders in the 19km, said he took strain.
“It’s the first time I haven’t trained before a race and now I’m feeling it,” he laughed afterwards.
Most the runners ran the very hilly 19km run while some took part in the 12km and 6km events.
