Goliath makes presence felt at Tweni TC
It's always good to have visitors and former members return to play.
IT was perfect weather for tennis at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday.
Four courts were filled thanks to the help of visitors Anna-Maria Vega and Keith Goliath.
Keith was a member of the club before his job as radiographer took him further afield so it was really good to have him back on the courts giving the others something different to reckon with.
Banana bread was the favourite for tea so the sarmies and chocolate cake played second fiddle.
Thanks to Jean Marx for the tasty treats and for organising the sets with help from others as well.

Members wish Dan Dimitriu a speedy recovery from his knee problem – tennis doesn’t seem the same without him on the courts.
Lynne Rorich was a welcome spectator last week and it is pleasing to see that she is gradually gaining strength. Elena Whateley is also wished better health having suffered from a nasty cough for several weeks.
Mervyn Tarboton is welcomed back from Oz where he attended a family wedding. Everyone will have to be on their toes again watching out for Mervyn’s trademark cut shot.
Birthday wishes to Mark Smith for the 25th.
Visitors are welcome to join members on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from 2pm onwards.
Saturday duty: April 21 – George van der Merwe; April 28 – Liesl Smith.
