More of the same for in-form Malcolm at SPCA golf day

The motor dealership which sells Nissan and Renault vehicles, as well as UD Trucks, has again sponsored the competition.

THE annual SPCA golf day, sponsored by Thompson Motors, was won on 51 points by Roger Phillips and Malcolm Moorley last week Saturday.

Runners-up were John Fox and Art Germs, who counted out Chris and Jo Ledden.

In fourth spot were Lizzie Currie and Janet Humphrey on 48 points, on a countout from Joseph and Margret Stoellinger.

Nabbing a fowl in the Chicken Run last Friday were Ian Mitchell (24 points), Van Zyl Greyling (22 points) as well as Uli Matzinger, Dave Fox, Heather Anderson and Sandy FitzGerald, all on 21 points.

Janet Humphrey won the Cora Hicks medal at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday on nett 74, two ahead of Solange Fox.

In third place was Heather Anderson on nett 78.

Men’s medal winner was Malcolm Moorley on nett 68, showing mid-week that his game was in good nick.

Stableford winner was John Neaves on 35 points, one ahead of Derek James.
