Reports have been received of many shad being caught from Hibberdene main beach and Stiebel.
Remember your bag limit of four shad.
There have been a lot of garrick caught on the South Coast recently, most on live bait.
However, a few crazy ones have been caught on chokka baits, at night!
The garrick are also feeding on plugs. Just goes to show that there are no rules in fishing.
Hats off to the anglers who are releasing their catches.
There have also been a lot of kob around and reports of a couple caught on lures such as paddle tails and rapala have been received.
Fresh sardine has been the bait of choice, with chokka falling slightly behind and paddle tails proving the winner for the lure anglers.
Most of the river mouths and deeper rocky areas have produced kob over the last few weeks.
For the ‘non-edible’ anglers, there are still a lot of sharks and flat fish around.
The offshore scene has been awash with catches of good gamefish and a mixed bag of bottom fish.
From the north down to our southern boundary there have been fish coming out and happy anglers all round.
Tight lines and screaming reels.
