It’s an exciting time for many fishermen even as shad season draws to a close.
With weather conditions playing its part this week, everything seems to be falling into place for some massive fish to be landed.

Reports are in of decent edible fish being caught on bait and spinning tackle.
Anglers fishing lighter have been quite busy with blacktail, karanteen and bronze bream, the best bait used is chokka, sardine and prawn.
Bronze bream season has kicked in and reports of some decent ones being landed have emerged.
For targeting these fish, remember to make traces with and also without floats to see what mood the fish are in on the day.
A size 1/0 ringed hook has been the choice with a pink or red prawn. If you can get your hands on some cracker shrimp, you are in with the best chance for a personal best fish.

Reports have come in of garrick being caught all along the coast on sliding a live bait and plugs. Best time for these magnificent fish is early mornings and late afternoons.
A couple kob have been landed, best baits for kob are chokka, shad, karanteen, rapala and paddle tail. Kob mainly feed late afternoon and into the night,
