The highly anticipated summer season is upon us and the fish are already starting to come out in much larger numbers than before.

The weather is stacking up well and the bigger inedibles are starting to pop up in the catch reports.

Reports of a lot of garrick being on the run and caught throughout the South Coast. As the shad season is closed the best live bait for these magnificent fish are mullet and karanteen.

Bronze bream still on the bite and anglers have been landing some magnificent fish.

For the anglers targeting the inedible fish will surely be having a lot fun with the flat fish such as guitar fish, blue rays and diamond skates.

The freshwater scene has been dominated by carp and bass over the last week. With the waters warming, the bass have been on the game.

Reports of trout are still feeding well but are being quite selective, just like the scalies.

Tight lines and screaming reels.
