From the Bowling Greens: Meetings coming up

BANNERS REST

The club annual general meeting will be held in the Breezeway this Monday (29th) at 10am, where a committee for next season will be elected. All members are urged to attend.

New on the notice board are the draws and venues for the KBA men and women’s Saturday league fixtures, as well as the entry form for the KBA mixed pairs with an entry closing date of December 10.

MARGATE BC

Ja Brew trips winners were Derek McKechnie, Yvonne Bausek and Trevor Prinsloo.

Food Lover’s Market women’s 2-bowl trips winners were Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Winnie Hess.

Social bowls is played every Sunday morning at 9am.

MUNSTER

Winner of the R50 ‘Wick Inn’ draw held last Friday was Doris Hardy-Theobold, who didn’t attend so the next draw for R100 will be Friday, November 2.

Time for the draw will be drawn out of hat after 2.30pm.

The club reopened last Saturday (27th), followed by 30-Club draw bring and braai.

Prize giving Saturday is on November 3 after tabs-in, followed by supper, for R40pp. Names to go on the board for catering purposes.

MARGATE CC

JL Panelbeaters men’s fours winners were Kevin O’Donoghue, Tony Hoggins, Colin Hudson and Fires van Vuuren.

Runners-up were Hein Bester, Graham Fisher, Cleve Walker and Brent Addison.

Third went to Steve Rennie, John Keppler, Aubrey Hood and Andreas van der Linde.

Ladder leaders are still the team from AMBC. The final of the ladder will be played on November 16.

TWENI

The Harbour View SuperSpar mixed pairs was won by Keith Mills and Tammy Gibbons from runners-up Johanny Meyer and Karen Delaney.

The session prize went to Astrid Jackson and Tony Aveyard.

The Wimpy women’s pairs was won by Michelle Vermeulen and Mada Lindeque from runners-up Annette Suther and Julie Ross.

Session prize went to Pat Maggs and Anne Payn.

VILLAGE

Martin’s Electronics men’s 2-4-2 winners were Gerhard Waldeck and Gerald Crerar.

Runners-up were Ali Mitchell and Doug Kent.

Session prize to John Keppler and Steve Rennie, as well as Graham Gold and Brent Addison.
