Countout favours Janet and Margi at Southbroom

The alliance was won by Lorraine Cook, Jean Corfe, Janice Lang and Candida Amm on 84 points, by five from Felicity Lund, Jackie van Eeden, Lynn Doveton and Karen Bridgeford.

JANET Humphrey and Margi Sherratt won the competition at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday on 41 points.

Runners-up were Jean Corfe and Janice Lange on 39 points, with Lee Mutch and Rita Kinghorn next on 38 points.

In the men’s competition, Paul Lawson and Don Osbourn scored 44 points and won the countout over Erwin Schanda and Malcolm Moorley.

Tied for third on 42 points were Brian Brasher and Vernon Duggan, Roy Deakins and Gary Godley, as well as Russell Mackenzie and Bob O’Callaghan.

In the men’s comp, winners on 91 points were Piet Joubert, John Lison, Arthur Lee and Malcolm Moorley.
