Lizzy Teamrider, Heather Clark (Fergie) is the defending champion for the Open Ladies and will be putting it all on the line to bring back the trophy again this year.
She has been spending a lot of time training the children at St Mike’s Beach. Fergie traveled the world surfing the World Surfing League for 14 years and came third in the world in 2003.
Fergie has been crowned Masters Surf Champion twice. She has 8 x open surf titles to boast about and 4 x masters titles. She is the only South African (male or female) to have won the Hawaii Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Fergie “I love the stoke of surfing with anyone and everyone. I can’t wait for this event to help my surfing kids do well”
Maya Potgieter (Smurf) is defending champion for the U12 Girls. Jordon Boshoff came third in the U14 boys in 2017 and will be going for a win this year.
