Swimmers bring back gold and silver from Gauteng

The coastal club sprung some surprises against the upcountry swimmers.

MARGATE Swimming Club boasts a number of very talented swimmers, and by all accounts are holding their own against some good swimmers in other provinces.

A group recently took part in the Eastern Gauteng Championships held in Germiston and came home with some excellent results.

The swimmers were Alex Labuschagne, Tehl-Cadi Day-Garden, Michel Duarte, Joshua Notrem, Britney van Vuuren, Kaitlyn Ramos and Everraud Raynard.

Kaitlyn Ramos (girls 8) won two gold medals.

Everraud Raynard (boys 8) won one gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

Tehl-Cadi Day-Garden (girls 9) won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

Alex Labuschagne (girls 10) earned one silver medal.

Coach Gerhard Labuschagne and team manager Dianne Day-Garden congratulated all the swimmers for taking part in this championship and once again bringing home some fantastic amazing results.
