Cooler weather revives Tweni tennis players
During the holidays junior members and their families have been able to spend great 'together-time' on the courts.
ALTHOUGH there were enough players for six courts, some folk needed a breather in between sets so only five courts saw action at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday.
Visitors, Alec Galanakis, Thaya Nadasan, Kishore Singh and Jess Verster were most welcome, the first three being ‘returnees’. It was really good to have all of you with us again.

Thuolin Singh joined spectators, Liesl Smith and Chloe Dutton and they were well-entertained by some closely-contested sets.
Tisch Roos was heard to say ‘balle de match’ about half an hour before that particular set ended so his opponents put up a good fight.
Isabeau le Roux made tasty savoury bites, sandwiches and her famous orange ring cake and, much to everyone’s delight, these treats were supplemented by Rob Browne who brought along a scrumptious caramel chocolate cake so that all could celebrate his birthday with him.
It was great to have you on the courts again, Rob, and we hope to see you more regularly now that you’re a year older.

Keep playing all you juniors – we look forward to the time when you become senior members of the club.
