No tripping up bowls trio

There will be no entry charge for supporters and spectators so turn up in your droves to encourage the teams.

THE men’s trips competition played last Thursday was won by Fanie Vosloo, Erich Holm and David Montile (Scottburgh) with a 4+16.

There were joint runners-up on a 4+14, namely Mike Harvey, Keith Findlay and Brian Navias as well as John Chamier, Clive Holmes and Brian Williams.

Second session winners were Kevin O’Donoghue, Rowan Bird and Tony Hoggins on 2+13.

Well done to John Chamier/Marian Kelly and Gina George/Fred Hutchins who won their semi-final matches in the nominated mixed pairs club championship and will play the final on August 14 at 1.15pm.

AMBC bowlers continue to keep the flag flying high.

Annatjie Kidd, who was runner-up in the KBA Ladies Preliminary Masters tournament, and Len Brickhill, who won the Men’s Preliminary Masters tournament, will now compete in the KBA Masters to be held at the end of September.
