Heather adds another SA title to her collection

She was 'super stoked' to have won and particularly enjoyed the beautiful ocean, great weather and 'rippable' waves.

A quick look at Heather Clark’s Facebook profile reveals just how popular the South Coast surfer is.

Her passion, humility and desire to do well have remained undiminished over many years of surfing at a very high level.

The Shelly Beach surfer recently won the Over 30s at the Mercedes Benz SA Champs at Nahoon Reef in East London.

This was a return to the venue where she won her first SA Champs, back in 1989 at the age of 18.

Not only did she beat surfers a lot younger than her, but she almost won the open division as well, finishing in second spot.

She was ‘super stoked’ to have won and particularly enjoyed the beautiful ocean, great weather and ‘rippable’ waves.

Heather thanked all her sponsors, Lizzy, Maischfins, Hurricane Surf and EXPRO, for helping make the trip possible.

There was other good news, with her fellow Ugu rider Gary van Wieringen from a little further up the coast, winning the men’s over 45 division.
