The tournament was a huge success with ten schools taking part on the grounds of Port Shepstone Senior Primary. The great weather made for perfect conditions.

Port Shepstone Senior Primary remained unbeaten in the group stages and they comfortably beat Hlanganai 2-0 in the semi-final. The other semi-final was contested between Merlewood and Jai Hind. Both schools performed extremely well and after a tough contest, Merlewood won the semi-final 1-0.

Port Shepstone Senior Primary won the final quite comfortably 3-1 against a brave Merlewood team. Goals by Aphelele Nzimande, Langalethu Bhengu and Ntando Nyawose set up the victory.

Ntando Bhengu was also named ‘Man of the Match’ for the second consecutive year after another outstanding performance.

The family of Strini Moodley would like to thank all who helped make this tenth-anniversary tournament such a huge success; notably to the staff of Marburg Primary and Saras Govender who sponsored a full soccer kit for the winning school and golf shirts for the winning players.
