Rod Talk: Leclerc flies flag for Ferrari
Hamilton was the first to take the battle to Leclerc, but try as he might he just could not get past a pretty 'wide' Ferrari.
Charles Leclerc gave a terrific performance, fending off both Mercedes drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton, and steering his Ferrari to victory at the Italian Grand Prix last weekend.
Hamilton was the first to take the battle to Leclerc on the Monza Eni circuit, but try as he might he just could not get past a pretty ‘wide’ Ferrari.

When the Brit’s tyres wore out, it was teammate Bottas’s turn to try unsuccessfully to unsettle the young man from Monaco, allowing the huge number of Tifosi to celebrate their man taking the chequered flag.
It was a great drive by Leclerc who, after two wins in a row, is virtually a national hero.
The Renault team seems to have taken a big stride forward with both Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg giving a good account of themselves, taking fourth and fifth respectively.
Renault’s power is now very close to that of the top three teams,Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.
Red Bull drivers, Alexander Albon and Max Verstappen finished sixth and eighth respectively, which confirmed the very good effort by Verstappen who had started at the back of the grid due to an engine change penalty.
Sergio Perez gave another good account of himself in his Mercedes, finishing seventh with Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) and Lando Norris (Mclaren Renault) closing out the point-scoring positions.
Sebastian Vettel had a difficult race and was penalised for coming back on to the track in the path of Lance Stroll, after spinning off.
It was an exciting and at times nail-biting race, we now have a two-week gap to the Singapore night race under blazing lights.
