Super Shannon shines at body building contest

The personal trainer achieves her goal.

Fitness trainer, Shannon Lehmann (26) of Margate, brought gold home from the International Federation of Body Building and Fitness (IFBB) KZN East Coast Classic, held in Durban last Saturday.

She won first place in the wellness division and in the ladies’ division overall.

The personal trainer from Superbodies Gym in Margate admits it wasn’t an easy show, as she had 9 other athletes in her line up, but her hard work and dedication certainly paid off.

“I faced a lot of challenges during this prep but I had a good support system that kept me strong and focused on the goal.”

There is no stopping Shannon who plans to compete at the KZN championships on August 20, and then SA Championships from September 1-3.

Shannon says her ambition to win and improve upon previous competitions kept her motivated.

“I love bodybuilding because it is probably mentally the toughest sport and requires extreme self discipline,” she added.
