Warriors U11s slay Mighty Elephants

It was a good day overall for the Warriors.

Ryan Pronk and Quade Nicholls scored two tries each as the South Coast Warriors U11 rugby team produced a 28-12 win over the Mighty Elephants from Pietermaritzburg at on Kings Park 1 in Durban last Sunday.

Zhuan Kellie on the charge.

The Elephants scored first, with the Warriors replying through a blistering diagonal run from 8th-man Ryan, with Quade converting to make it 7-7. The Elephants scored again before half time, 12-7.

However, after the break the Warriors really turned it on, with some exciting, running rugby.

Quade scored next, slicing through the defence, followed by a solo run of about 55m from Ryan.

Ryan Pronk takes some stopping.

Quade rounded things off in the last few minutes to put the game beyond doubt. He kicked all four conversions.

However, it was an excellent overall effort from the boys, with some – like Eli Langton – playing a match for the first time.
