That’s a wrap for Village Eagles
The Eagles enjoyed some singing and dancing into the night.
Umdoni Park Golf Club was the venue for the Village Eagles‘ last game of the year, held on December 3, with 68 Eagles teeing it up.
The golf course was in immaculate condition but this did not help much as the lost ball count was high, 95 in total.
Neville Lloyd and Sarie Hall shared the honours in being the closest for their guesses.
Special thanks were extended to the staff of Umdoni Park for providing everyone with the privilege of competing at Umdoni.
Best lady on the day was Estelle Binnekade on 40 individual points, while Patrick Poole took the men’s prize, also on 46 points.
Winners on the day were Harry Podmore, Patrick Poole, Dave Jack and Phillip Bacchus on an alliance score of 100 points.

The longest day and collecting the Stone Trophy were Tom Hendren, Fanie de Jager, Roy Auret and Dave Whitfield on 84 points.
The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Alistar Eyres.
Eddie Mathews presented the results and a Christmas message in the evening. There was an entertaining fines’ session by the master himself, Derek Hodge – and all present were more than happy to pay their fine/s.
The Eagles then proceeded to enjoy a Christmas dinner and dance provided by the Umdoni Golf Club.
The food was excellent, and the live entertainment was provided by Just Magic, who belted out some great tunes.
The Eagles enjoyed some singing and dancing into the night.
The next game will be held at Umkomaas Golf Club on January 7. See you all there.
