Lowe on a high after winning San Lameer club champs

The annual San Lameer Open will take place on Sunday, January 19. Cost is R470, including cart sharing.

San Lameer Country Club hosted a number of important events during the holidays, including the club champs, President’s Cup and Summer Classic.

In the club champs, Malcolm Lowe won the men’s A-division on 160, with Peter Ray clinching the nett on 146.

The B-division winner was Carl Mellet on 83 points, from Andries Brink on 70 points.

C-division honours went to Lukas Potgieter on 71 points, from Jan Geldenhuys on 69 points.

Debbie Dellieu won the ladies’ title on 66 points, counting out Maritha de Beer.

Junior winner was Cameron Jones on 65 points, while the senior winner was Rene Rey on 66 points.

The annual President’s Cup, held on December 20, was won by Hennie Dirker on 44 points.

Jarrod Charlton was next on 38 points, with Guy Chilro in third on 36 points.

Johan Toerien, Tanya Cromme and Joe Coetzee all carded 35 points.

They were followed on 34 points by Luke Davies, Gideon Janse van Rensburg, Johan Botha and JC Coetzer.

The Summer Classic on December 29 proved to be a lot of fun, played as a mystery alliance.

The winners on 92 points were Debbie Dellieu, Emile Dellieu, Hashim Bahm and Bruce Dellieu.

Runners-up on 89 points were Ravin Ranjith, Leon Govender, Preggy Perumal and Kishal Reddy.

In third on 89 points were Lindz, Nicole and Tanya (with a ghost). No surnames provided.

Fourth place on 87 points went to Hanue Collins, Dawie Vos and Marlize Vos, with a ghost for their fourth.

In fifth place on 86 points were Frans Klopper, Tiaan Klopper, Gert Pretorius and Hennie Dirker.
