HIBBERDENE
The club held its annual prizegiving function recently, where the winners of the different competitions and trophy categories were congratulated.
For the men, they were Albert Munnik (open singles, mixed pairs, best competition performer), Anton Swanepoel (pairs), Bruce Hoyer (pairs), Brian Mertz (novice), Paul Hare (handicap singles), Luke Pohl (men’s singles plate) and Eddie Milne (voted men’s most valuable member other than a committee member).
In the ladies’ section, trophies went to Miriam Seagar (pairs/mixed pairs, best competition performer), Elize Duvenage (open singles), Hettie Nel (pairs), Estelle Quinn (singles plate), Hester Boshoff (novice) and Alida Munnik (voted most valuable member other than a committee member).
The Gladiator Security nominated mixed trips on January 10 was won by Robert Singery, Monica Middlewick and Jim Vaughn.
Runners-up were Jimmy Hay, Bruce Hoyer and Dianne Geyser. Session went to Eddie Milne, Miriam Seagar and Gill Rule.
The next competition will be the Hibberdene Pharmacy drawn mixed trips today at 14:00.
TWENI
Winners of the Astron Energy Umtentweni/Orcas mixed trips were Johan Labuschagne, Elize Duvenage and Jynie Swanepoel.
Runners-up were Dumisani Madlala, Mari Strauss and Vernon Strauss.
Session prize went to Bob Moroney, Zac Graham and Aletta Bennette.
