Scotties marathon was a hit

Finishers were awarded medals.

It was an exciting morning for all as hundreds of athletes participated in this year’s Scottburgh Half Marathon and 10km event.

Despite bad weather predictions, it was a clear and cool morning, which is exactly what participants needed after the recent unbearable summer heat.

People of all ages from various clubs and areas enjoyed the race, and it drew in a fair amount of supporters along the way, to help cheer everyone on.

Scottburgh Athletics Club is grateful for all the support shown by its sponsors, the athletes and dedicated marshals that helped control traffic, lead the way and motivate racers.

Here’s hoping that the next event is even bigger!
