Eagles in the prizes

The next game will be held at Scottburgh Golf Club on February 4.

January saw the Village Eagles Golf Club play at the Umkomaas Golf Course.

The golf course was in good condition and a little wet. They thank one and all for the efforts made.

There were 51 players in attendance on a little wet and cool morning for golf. Fortunately, the rain stayed away for most of the day.

The lost ball count was a very low 38 balls, and the prize went to John Calitz for his estimate.

Best lady was Vanessa Bailey, with 37 individual points, and Anton Hauptfleish took the men’s prize on 41 points.

The winners on the day were Mervyn Perry, Ian Baird, Robin Melville and Anton Hauptfleish on an alliance score of 90 points.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy was Rick St John, Conrad Klusener, Gus Crous and Moira St John on 54 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Alistair Eyers.

Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Jeremy Boyd was the master, and this was well-supported.

The Eagles thank all sponsors for making this an enjoyable day.

The next game will be held at Scottburgh Golf Club on February 4. See you all there.
