Striders set ‘personal bests’ around country

No doubt they will now start to enjoy the cooler autumn weather.

It’s been a whirlwind two months for the South Coast Striders, filled with dedication, sweat, and incredible achievements.

As the race for Comrades qualification heats up, runners have been pushing their limits and smashing personal milestones across the country.

The energy within the club is palpable, with both seasoned athletes and enthusiastic newcomers contributing to the club’s collective success.

There has been a surge of impressive performances, proving that hard work and camaraderie are a winning combination.

Peter Brino Chidzungu wins the Galleria Mall Challenge.

Newcomers to the club, Michael Forshaw (veteran of 31 Comrades) and Terrance Cele recently stepped onto the podium and Peter Brino Chidzungu has once again tasted glory, adding another impressive victory to his already stellar record.

His recent triumph in the well-covered 21km Galleria Mall Challenge is a testament to his unwavering commitment.

Striders members believe that running is for everyone, regardless of experience or pace and welcomes beginners, encouraging anyone interested to join.
