Crouch pounces for Ten Cup win

There has been some decent golfing lately.

Howard Crouch has been in some decent winter form on the golf course. He’s also had the countout favour him, as was evident during Port Shepstone Country Club’s Ten Cup Series last Saturday.

He won round five on 38 points, counting out not one player, but four!

Those who weren’t so fortunate were Allan Clark, Thys Blom, Loyiso Goqwana and Gerald Koch, with Basil King a point behind on 37 points.

Nearest the pins were Greg Eayrs (5th), Tom Pearson (8th), Ilse Steyn (14th), Kelly Tarr (17th).

The Wednesday competition was won by Gavin van Wyk on 45 points, with Gary Vogt next on 38 points.

In third place were Fanie Terblanche and Gerald Koch on 37 points.

Fowl Friday, sponsored by Hibiscus Coast Electrical, was played over nine holes.

Leading point scorers were Cameron Olivant 19, Lionel Peters 18, Piet Snyman 16, Howard Crouch 16.
