Golf day shines a spotlight on Port Shepstone youth organisation

The Youth In Action golf day was a resounding success – filled with sunshine, smiles and spirited competition.

Youth in Action, a community based non-profit organisation, hosted a successful golf day at the Port Shepstone Country last Saturday.

The organisation has always been dedicated to empowering young people under the age of 23, particularly those from disadvantaged communities.

The tournament’s winners were Santhos Baskali and Ram Nandhoo, followed by Paul Geoffery and Colin Paul.

Golf day coordinator, Paul Geoffery said Youth in Action hopes to be a voice to young people and make a difference in society.

“We are passionate about the next generation and make all the effort in creating an environment of mentoring, shaping and exposing talents of these future leaders. We are glad to have a good base of team leaders which help us in fulfilling our passion. The development programmes are high on our agenda as we focus on nurturing behavioral patterns and wholesome young people,” said Paul.

The organisation has been running successfully for several years and is both meaningful and measurable. Youth in Action provides refreshments each Friday, ensuring that the physical needs of the youth are met alongside emotional and social support. Geoffery thanked sponsors and supporters.
