Lions’ day winners drive in style

Main sponsor on the day was Suzuki South Coast.

Dr Ayoob Bux and Ganes Munsami won the annual Lions Club of Port Shepstone golf day at Port Shepstone CC last Saturday.

They scored 47 points to win by one from Basil King and Anni Stoppel on 46 points.

In third place on 45 points, courtesy of the countout, were Rudi and Ilse Steyn, from Cecelia Verster and Vicki Nott, as well as Stephen Jones and Dudley Neilson.

Main sponsor on the day was Suzuki South Coast.

All funds raised go back into the community, through the hardworking Lions Club.

The prize for the best tee box, judged by the Lions, was won by the sponsor, Suzuki South Coast, with Harvey World Travel Shelly Beach second and Leaf Technologies third.

In other club news, Howard Crouch and Ian Mitchell won last Wednesday’s competition on 48 points, two ahead of Charles and Jenny Hulley on 46 points, with Smittie Stieger and Terry Kotze in third place on 44 points.

The Hibiscus Coast Electrical Fowl Friday 9-hole competition saw Gary Vogt and Allan Clark both card 20 points.

Scoring 19 points were Allan Rowley, Ken Morris and Lionel Peters.
