Village Eagles land at Selborne Golf Club

The next game will be played on November 4.

The Village Eagles had a fantastic round of golf at Selborne Golf Club recently.

The course was in good condition, thanks to all the staff. There were 56 players, which is a smaller field than usual.

The lost ball count was 150. Billy Adam’s estimate was spot on at 150, well done. Best Lady was Moira St John on 39 individual points and the Best Man was John O’Connor on 41 individual points.

The Village Eagles winners on the day were Wikus van Kraayenburg, Glen Willson, Ian Lovett and Ian Ping on an alliance score of 91 points.

Winners (form left) Glen Willson, Wikus van Kraayenburg, Ian Ping and Ian Lovett.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Jeremy Boyd, Dennis Kamstra, Cathy Kamstra and Gus Crous on 77 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Alistair Eyres, thank you for the effort. Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch.

On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master for the day and this was once again well-supported.

A big thank you to the sponsors, without them, this day would not have been possible and as enjoyable.

The next game will be held at Umkomaas Golf Club on November 4. See you all there.

STAN SIM

The Longest day: Gus Crous, Dennis Kamstra, Jeremy Boyd and Cathy Kamstra.
